Sickness

Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there. -Matthew 19:2

Sickness. Funny thing about it is that we think that sickness is some sort of punishment for something we did. Especially if we do know that we did something wrong, right? Wrong. GOD is not and never will be that cruel.

You know what we have a merciful and loving GOD. He is. He is merciful and loving and HE wants the best from us. Always.

For the longest time, we've viewed sickness as a punishment for what we've done wrong. For some, it's called bad Karma for the things that a person has done in his/her past life. Regardless if we believe in reincarnation or not, we still have this default view of sickness as a form of punishment from GOD.

This is something that we must correct. First of all, NO. God is never that mean and cruel that HE would punish HIS own creation with an unbearable sickness. This is a lie that satan has cooked up for us to believe, be condemned that it would be a hindrance in us owning the original masterpiece that GOD created us to be. We are the Display of HIS SPLENDOR.

They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
-Isaiah 61:3 NIV

Stay with me here. Please.  Sickness is, just like any other trial we encounter or will encounter in the future, a Job moment. It's a testing and expansion of our Faith. It's an opportunity for GOD to show us how powerful HE is and how much of a Healer HE is, and all HE is asking from us is....FAITH.

Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter,"  he said, "your faith has healed you."  And the woman was healed at that moment.
-Matthew 9:22 NIV

Faith in GOD is something we should never allow the enemy to steal from us. We all have it, it's just up to us if we want to make it grow or leave it stagnant. Every day is a chance for us to feed our faith. To stand firmly in faith and say:
"I AM HEALED IN THE NAME OF JESUS"
man, just thinking about declaring this gives me chills, Praise GOD! :) Whatever sickness we have or might have, remember that we should fight. And demand it to leave our bodies. Why? Because:
1. Our bodies are the temple of GOD
2. Our bodies are a reflection of GOD's glory
3. Our bodies does NOT deserve any form of sickness

So, whenever you're sick, step out.in FAITH and Cast it out in the Name of JESUS. You do not deserve anything less than God's best. Sickness is from the enemy, and no one wants that. You deserve better and God deserves more. He deserves to be Glorified!
